四、阅读理解 (共4题,共 20分)
  • 24、   I’m Kangkang. My grandma has lived in Beijing for more than forty years. She has seen the changes in Beijing herself.

In the 1960s, the whole city was under poor conditions. The roads were narrow and there weren’t many ring roads. Big families were crowded into small and dark houses. Many families couldn’t get enough food. Few children had the chance to receive a good education. People had little money to see a doctor. And there were few hospitals. People kept in touch with their friends and relatives far away mainly by letter and telegram.

China has developed rapidly since 1978. More and more ring roads have appeared and buildings in Beijing are becoming taller and brighter. People’s living conditions have improved a lot. And there are more kinds of food and clothes for people to choose. Children can study not only in modern schools but also on the Internet. People can enjoy good medical care. What’s more, communications are becoming easier and quicker.

Beijing has made rapid progress. I think it is important to remember the past, live in the present and dream about the future.

    根据短文内容,判断下列句子的正(A)或误(B)。

【1】Kangkang’s grandma has lived in Beijing for over 50 years.

  • 25、   It was a cold snowy morning after the winter vacation. And it was my first day at my new school. I was walking alone slowly and worrying about lots of things. It was early and there weren’t many people on the road. Suddenly a girl who was riding a bike on ice fell down. She was trying hard to get up but fell again. Without thinking, I went over and helped her. She said “thank you” with a smile and then rode away. Her words warmed me a lot.

Finally, I got to school. The teacher led me to the classroom and introduced me to the class. Then he asked me to sit down beside a girl. I felt so nervous that I didn’t dare to look at her. Soon the first class, English, started. Their textbooks were different from those in my old school. As I was wondering what to do, an English book appeared in front of me. “Let’s share it.” the girl beside me said, “Hi, I’m Carrie.” I looked up. It was the girl I helped this morning. Later on, we became good friends.

From that I learned: To help others is actually to help ourselves.

    根据短文内容,判断下列句子正误,正确的在答题卡上将“T”涂黑,错误的在答题卡上将“F”涂黑。

4The girl asked the writer to share the English textbook with her.

5From the story, we learned that helping others is actually helping ourselves.
